Purpose
To manage solid waste facilities to protect human health and the environment.
Applicability
Applies to research and development projects, as defined in Env-Sw 104 (see Env-Sw 100 Purpose, Applicability, and Definitions). No permit is required for research and development facilities identified in Env-Sw 302.03(b)(7), (see Env-Sw 300 Permits).

Env-Sw 300 Permits
Application
The applicant must provide information in writing to the Solid Waste Permitting and Design Review Section according to Env-Sw 312 (see Env-Sw 300 Permits).
Fee
The fee is calculated according to Env-Sw 310.05 (see Env-Sw 300 Permits).
Processing Time
Typically 30 days after the application is deemed complete.
Term/Renewal
Permit issued for the life of the facility.
Modification/Amendments
Notification of changes must be submitted in writing to the Solid Waste Permitting and Design Review Section prior any change(s) to the application upon which the permit was issued or amended.
Transferability
Permits cannot be transferred to a new owner.
Appeals
Any person aggrieved by a final decision can appeal to the Waste Management Council in accordance with RSA 21-O:9.

More Information
If strict compliance with a particular rule would cause a hardship to the certificate holder or result in an adverse effect on the environment or public health and safety, a waiver to the particular rule may be granted. The applicant must full out an Application for Waiver
and submit any supporting documentation.
